Jack Raeside came out of the world of drugs and alcohol in his early twenties. As he realized how meaningless and absurd our existence is, he began to sense the emptiness, that inner void. Since the age of fifteen, all he had ever dreamed of was living and partying in California. Now, after being there for nine months he was feeling hollow, vacant in his soul. There had to be more then even this, but what? He was irritated with himself! Why wasn't he ever be satisfied? He considered his future. He envisioned himself graduating from college, married, children, nice home, car and recognized it would never be enough; not for him! Slowly he was losing his interest in living. In the middle of his struggle the Lord began sending people to share the story of Jesus and His love. Being an atheist, he initially rejected what they had to say. Yet they continued motivating him to read and investigate the claims of Christ. Within three months he trusted in the Lord and his life experienced a transformation forevermore! Jack graduated from the Philadelphia College of Bible. He has been involved with ministry: church planting, discipleship, mentoring men with drug and alcohol dependencies for many years.

Matthew Scott grew up in Pennington Gap, VA. As a young man, he considered himself a Christian and attended church every Sunday. But at the age of fifteen, Matt entered the world of drugs and alcohol. He spent twenty years struggling with his desire to get "high" while at the same time, experiencing a normal life. It never worked. Twelve Rehabilitation Centers, incarceration, instability, broken relationships, frustration, bitterness, and confusion is what he actually experienced. Then one day, after being in a Rehabilitation Home for almost two weeks, he looked up and saw two police officers coming toward him. Oh my! Matt was about to spend more time in jail! He was placed into the back of a police van and the driver took Matt to his new jail cell. "But God" had a different plan for Matt's future. While in the van, Matt actually began praying...pouring his hurting, bitter, frustrated heart out to God! Jesus is always near... Amen! So that day Matt experienced the rebirth. Yes! Being born again (John 3:3) is an experience! He states, "I could feel the weight of years of anger and resentment drop off my shoulders and hit the floor of that van! The man who got into that van was not the same man that got out!" Matt entered the Drug Court Program. Presently he has oversight of our programs, intake, and encourages the man daily.
